Our sunshades and cabanas are intended to be fair-weather shelters. They have not been tested or treated in a third-party lab to acquire any additional protection rating. They are, however, made of polyester, which has a perfectly sufficient rating of UPF 30+!
If in doubt, you can always wear sunscreen and make sure any exposed skin is covered.
