Our packs are built for adventure and we want to make sure you can hike in comfort the packs are designed to carry an evenly dispersed amount of weight.  The basic rule of thumb for backpack weight is to only carry about 20% of your body weight.  We don’t do weight calculation because it is heavily dependent on what you are putting into the pack.  For instance, a 45 lb. weight-lifting plate will not be evenly dispersed in a pack and will cause a strain point which could cause the pack to fail, while you could carry 45 lbs. of tents, sleeping bags, water, food, and clothes with no problem.
